Demolition of BC Hydro, Port Moody

Dismantling of two fuel oil storage tanks 60′ x 160′ in diameter. These tanks were insulated with sprayed on cork material, using an asbestos contained mastic. In 1994, McColman & Sons Demolition designed and built a special attachment to scrape off the asbestos. McColman & Sons Demolition then proceeded to dismantle the tanks using hydraulic steel shears.
